The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Benefit Gala 2016 was hosted by Taylor Swift as well as Editor of American Vogue Anna Wintour, Idris Elba, and Jonathan Ive, chief design officer of Apple had an evening theme Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology.  hence the mostly metallic and futuristic outfits by the celebrities..
